April 13, 2003
On April 13, 2003 after 90 year wait a plaque was dedicated at Adrian college commemorating the College as the location the 4th Michigan Infantry trained before leaving for service in the Union Army in 1861. The name for the camp was Camp Williams.
The plaque dedication came about through the efforts of the 4th Michigan Company G reenacting group. Please recognize them for their vision. I applauded them for their endeavors.
Thank you Tecumseh Volunteers, job well done!
